Automatically
Co-Word Mapping function produces a map.
(N.B.: Starting from 5.0 version, the Co-Word Mapping
tool is no more available. Its functionalities are now included in the Co-Word
Analysis and Concept Mapping tool.)

In the map, each label stands for a core, i.e. a subset of "associated words" co-occurring in the elementary contexts (sentences) of the corpus. For each core it is possible to identify the elements that form it. See the following samples, obtained by clicking on the corresponding label.

The Associations
function shows the words in the corpus that share co-occurrence contexts with
selected key-terms.
The
selection is carried out by using a calculated Association Index (the Cosine
Coefficient).
In
the sample on the left, the proximity to "parent" indicates the degree
of association of each considered word.
The
words considered as a whole form the context of relationship which define the
local meaning of "parent" in the corpus.

For each
graph, a table shows the data used to create it.
Column by column the reading
keys are as follows:
- LEMMA_B = lemmas associated whit "central" lemma (or LEMMA_A; see
"parent");
- COEFF = cosine coefficients;
- OCC_B = occurrences of each LEMMA_B;
- ASSOC_AB = co-occurrences of lemmas "A" and " B ".
